New Production Facility for Cobra RIBs
We recently celebrated 30 years in the RIB building business by moving to a new purpose-built, 12,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Christchurch.
Twice the size of our previous unit, it provides eight boat bays for manufacture and offers improved safety, with the addition of a ten-tonne overhead crane.
It’s enabled us to double our production capacity and, importantly, gives us a destination to bring customers to.
The move was prompted by an increase in demand across the leisure and superyacht markets and will enable us to produce larger models ranging from 35-46ft. Our workforce has also increased by 25% to meet demand!
With all of our RIBs being hand-built at the facility, the larger space has given us more room for plant equipment. This has led to increased efficiency in the build process.
